Description
Sponsored by the New Brunswick Public Library Service / Service des bibliothèques publiques du Nouveau-Brunswick
This session will explore some of the options we have to make our libraries more environmentally friendly. There is a wealth of “Green Library” information available for anyone planning a new library. The session will touch on some of these concepts and will show some examples of new libraries that have been designed to be environmentally friendly. However, the major focus of the session will be to explore and present some practical measures that can be implemented in existing libraries. What are the small things we can do in our libraries to make them “green”? How do we implement green library policies in our libraries? Hopefully this will be a catalyst for a sharing of ideas on ways to “green” our libraries. There will be an opportunity for attendees to share their experiences, successes, and failures in being environmentally friendly in their own libraries.
