Description
Memorial University Libraries were among the first adopters of OCLC’s new WorldCat Selection interface. Over the last two years we have completely automated our previously paper-based selection and acquisitions process. As a medium-sized academic library with three major vendors (Coutts, Blackwell, YBP) and a handful of smaller ones (Touzot, Casalini, Harrassowitz), we were desperately seeking to simplify our selection and acquisitions workflow while maintaining a high degree of flexibility in our choice of monograph vendors. Come to this presentation for an overview of the project and a tour of the OCLC Worldcat Selection interface. We’ll also share the reactions of Memorial librarians and staff.
